The wright brothers invented the first airplane. It took them a while, but they finally did it.

The Wright brothers and the first successful airplane.

Between 1899 and 1905, the Wright brothers conducted a program of aeronautical research and experimentation that led to the first successful powered airplane in 1903 and a refined, practical flying machine two years later. The Wright brothers loved their successful airplane that they made more and sold them. When no one came the wright brothers had the idea to show them off to show the people how they work. On January 27, 1948, Orville Wright died from a heart attack at the age of 76. Sens that day people have been making more and better airplanes.
