About the award

With funding from Agnico Eagle, YMP is pleased to provide one $10,000 scholarship to an exceptional Nunavut Inuit student in a mining-related program. The winner will also be eligible to interview for an internship with Agnico. This student must have a valid NTI Number, and must be willing to participate in an interview for a publicized story by Agnico Eagle.

How to apply

In 1000 words, write an essay about a time you demonstrated perseverance and how you think this experience will aid you in your future career.

The YMP scholarship review panel will value the creativity and eloquence of the essay along with academic excellence and extra-curricular involvement.

  3. Your updated resume
  4. A document confirming your NTI Number and your willingness to participate in an interview, saved as a pdf
