MEN' SOCCER

Saturday's 2-1 win over Washington-St. Louis on senior day clinched the third outright UAA Men's Soccer Championship in four seasons for the Maroons.

TITLE DEFENDERS

The UChicago won its second-straight and third outright University Athletic Association title in four years with Saturday's 2-1 win over rival Washington-St. Louis on senior day at Stagg Field. The Maroons are set to host the NCAA Division III First & Second Rounds this Saturday and Sunday at Stagg turf field.

SWIMMING & DIVING

Sophomore Agnes Lo set a new school record in the 1-meter dive and won both events against WashU Saturday.

SCHOOL-RECORD PERFORMANCE

Sophomore Agnes Lo highlighted the UChicago women's swimming & diving team's 184-116 win over rival Washington-St. Louis Saturday, breaking the school record in the 1-meter diving event.

Senior Dean Boures swept both diving events against Washington-St. Louis Saturday.

DIVING SWEEP

Senior Dean Boures help the Maroon men make a diving sweep over the Bears by winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Washington-St. Louis did win the team event, 180-108.

FOOTBALL

The Maroons swept UAA Athlete of the Week honors, with Chandler Carroll, Mike Kurzydlowski, and Zack Atiyeh earning respective offensive, special teams, and defensive awards.
Chandler Carroll dives in for a 25-yard rushing TD Saturday against Macalester.

RUN GAME DOMINANCE

Senior Chandler Carroll was nearly unstoppable Saturday, running for 249 yards and two TDs. Junior kicker Mike Kurzydlowski was also clutch, nailing all four of his field goal attempts, including a 38-yarder.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

The Maroons earned their fifth UAA title and first since 2010 with a 6-1 record this season in conference play.

UAA CHAMPS

The No. 1 Women's Soccer team sustained its first loss of the season Saturday, falling to WashU, but the Maroons' stellar regular-season play earned them a share of the UAA Championship -- the team's fifth overall and first since 2010. UChicago will now host the NCAA Division III Tournament First & Second Rounds as it seeks its first-ever national title.

The Maroons celebrated their five seniors Saturday prior to their match.

VOLLEYBALL

NCAA BOUND

The Maroons make a return to the NCAA Division III Tournament after just missing out on an at-large berth a year ago. Six wins over regionally-ranked opponents during the regular season is a big reason why.

The Maroon volleyball team is back in the national field of 64 after earning an at-large berth into the 2017 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament Field. The Maroons finished fourth in last weekend's UAA Championships and finished the regular season with a 23-8 overall record.

The Maroons are back in the field of 64 after just missing out on a bid last season when they went 18-11 overall. UChicago recorded six wins over regionally-ranked opponents this season.

CROSS COUNTRY

NCAA REGIONAL BOUND - Women's XC

The Maroon women's cross country team return to competition after a week of preparation for this weekend's NCAA Midwest Regional in Rock Island, Ill.

After a second-place finish at the UAA Championships Oct. 28, the Maroons are eyeing a bigger finish at this year's NCAA Midwest Regional at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill.

  • Where: Saukie Golf Course, Rock Island. Ill.
  • Senior Khia Kurtenbach will be seeking to defend her 2016 NCAA Midwest Regional title from a year ago, when she finished the 6K race with a time of 21:41.
  • The Maroon women took third place at last year's regional, matching the team's finish from 2015.
  • Then-juniors Cassidy McPherson and Kelsey Dunn also earned all-region accolades, placing 25th and 27th, respectively.

NCAA REGIONAL BOUND - Men's XC

The Maroon men's team is coming off a fifth-place finish at the UAA Championships Oct. 28.

The UChicago men's squad will aim to top its ninth-place finish from the 2016 NCAA Midwest Regional.

The 2017-18 UChicago Wrestling Team kicks off its season this Saturday with a road competition at Trine University in Angola, Ind.

SEASON OPENER

The Maroon wrestling squad will compete for the first time this season when UChicago heads to the Trine Invitational Saturday.
