Culture Quote Explanation By Sierra Hippel

"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change, until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds."

One way this quote relates to what we have been learning is the way all cultures are different. If we don't notice the way other cultures are and choose to learn about them we may forever stay clueless.

Another way is for our own culture. For the part that says, "Shapes our thoughts and deeds", this shows that if we don't notice more of the world around us how will we be able to understand the way our culture works. We would end up acting differently then the rest of the people who have the same culture as us.

One last thing is this quote reminds me a lot of what we learned about the buddhist, because it is very telling of the way you should way your life. Kind of like the four noble truths.
