I m m a n u e l For a child has been born—for us! the gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He’ll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom. He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going With fair dealing and right living, beginning now and lasting always. The zeal of GOD -of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this.” ‭ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7 MSG

Volume II | December 2016

Immanuel! He is God with us indeed; Faithful and True-- to the very end.

Fam, friends and partners, let me begin this by saying that we have a Good and Faithful Father. Such is our confidence in His leadership over our lives and His commitment to finish what He has started in us.

It is with a grateful heart that I am writing this because in all honesty, every time I remember you, I am humbled by your obedience to Him and your heart to serve Him through your partnership and generosity.

My heart is celebrating the truth that He has bound us all together in unity and love in this pursuit: to build Him a dwelling place in this nation, partnering with the Son of Man til' every island and nation sings. And until He receives the reward of His suffering.

As we continue pursuing this with our eyes gazed into His, the existing reality remains unshakeable: His ruling authority will grow and continually advance and the wholeness He brings will know no limit. His kingdom violently advances.

The last lengthy update that I have forwarded to everyone was when I hit my one year mark of being here in Vigan City. Consider it a milestone, friends. On a deeper note though, it just speaks of how faithful Jesus has been all throughout.

Should you wish to look at it again, here's the link:

I am strongly convinced that this is an ongoing adventure with Him. The path is narrow, and have several twists and turns, even detours along the way, but I realized we have been hard-wired to reach our destinies in Him-- and we have the option to actually choose Him among the many options the world may be throwing at us. The journey or process may look differently for each one, but that's the beauty of it. He is a personal God and He relates to us on a personal level.

My process is different from yours. And embracing the process is part of the process. And it will always bring you to a place of surrender where your complete reliance on Him allows Him to do so much more in you and through you. And He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He is Immanuel for all seasons.

I also realized that He is more interested in what happens to our hearts throughout our processes more than us reaching a certain goal or fulfilling an assignment. He is more interested in the alignment more than the assignment. He is more interested in your relationship with Him more than the revival you will help Him bring about. At the end of the day, we need to enter into a heart posture that allows us to rest in our primary identities in the Father-- in mainly being sons and daughters before Him. In this journey that He's invited each of us in, may we reflect and ask ourselves these questions: Am I actually falling in love with Him more and learning to love others as He does, seeing them through the very eyes of His Son? Am I becoming more like Jesus?

Just for the past few weeks, I have delighted myself in sitting at His feet and learning to take risks again in His name everytime I go out. So far, it has been an amazing learning process. Despite the bumps in the road, or the struggles that arise from time to time, He remains that steady Anchor I can hold on to.

I recall writing in my journal in the beginning of the year that my theme for 2016 would be to "Love Well". Yes, the Lord has indeed taken me into this adventure of learning His heart for this. I realized that He is more committed than I am in seeing this becoming a reality in my life. Digging deep of this theme, a desire has been birthed to tenaciously walk this out and tangibly translate this love to people-- how He sees them, what He thinks about them, how He feels about them, what He says about them.

Truth is, it's not always easy. I mean when the reality of diversity, differences in personalities, variations in perspectives hit you, the challenge to love people can become a real stretch. The beauty of abiding makes so much sense when we truly want to love like He loves. It is in His heart to partner with us and it is only through abiding in Him, in that place of Intimacy that we get to know His very heartbeat. He desires that we get to journey with Him in winning back sons and daughters to the Kingdom. It is in His heart to come back for a Bride that is ready, pure and fully in love with Him. He has been longing to see a generation that is willing and ready to host His presence, releasing the reality of Heaven in every sphere of society, even in the dark places, where the name of Jesus has not even been heard.

In order to come to an alignment with Him-we need to hear His voice and know what His heart beats for.

Our sufficiency is from Him. The baptism of Love comes from Him. We need to ask of Him to teach us how to love and to fill us with His love because we can never give what we don't have. Jesus prayed this out in John 17:26:

“I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.

‭‭Everyday, we are given opportunities to share His love tangibly to the people around us. Even the little acts of love matter. Nothing is wasted when it is done out of love.

In all these, I know am still learning and will continue to learn. ❤️

And can I just say that the God we worship has this love tank that is inexhaustible?! Man, our God is madly in love with us. We are the dream of His heart and has longed for us since eternity past, that we may be one with Him, just as He and His Son are one. He dreamt of a family. He saw you and me. He so loved the world that He gave Jesus to us. And I learned that we must have this heart posture as well. We've heard this a lot of times: We become what we behold. It's true. We will become more and more like the One we are beholding and in that state of becoming, it will be what we will be releasing. Who Jesus is to us, will be who Jesus is through us.

Here are some recent stories that transpired from where I am. Scroll your way through!

Ilocos Sur Grand Prayer Rally | November 1 Vigan City

Last November 1, we had the privilege of leading the Bride of Christ in Ilocos Sur in worship during the Ilocos Sur Grand Prayer Rally. Pastors, leaders, ministers and members alike gathered to unite in prayer for the nation and for the Bride of Christ. Indeed fire and fragrance was lifted up to the Son of Man.

This rang true during the whole gathering: “How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! It’s like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that’s where GOD commands the blessing, ordains eternal life.” | Psalm‬ ‭133:1-3‬ ‭MSG‬‬ |

Bible Distribution | November 17 Ilocos Sur National High School

On November 17th, The Word Riders PH (https://www.facebook.com/WordRiders/) in partnership with The Philippine Bible Society pushed through with their Great Northern Ride and distributed Bibles to Grade 8 students all across the Northern part of Luzon, specifically in the Ilocos area. So when they reached Vigan City, we had the open door to volunteer and reach out to these students. Apart from the distribution of the Bibles and the gift giving, it was all about releasing love to these young ones. It was an amazing time of community and togetherness. I also made new friends, mostly 12, 13 and 14-year olds. 😊

I love that I got to be a part of this beautiful mission, which was intentionally brought to completion because of people having a solid vision for His Word to be made known all across this nation.

Jesus Reigns | November 30 | Vigan City

Jesus Reigns happened last November 30. All across the nation, 82 cities, including Vigan City, simultaneously celebrated the name of Jesus. It was an honor to be a part of this united gathering, in partnership with other local churches only for one glorious cause.

On this day, the shift He has been brewing inside me was once more stirred and intensified. I was encountered by His love and heart for His very own. It was confrontational, but tender. Indeed, His presence brings about a revelatory experience that you simply can't shake off. It hits to the core and it leaves you undone. During the event, a little girl stole my heart. My guess, she was probably around 7 or 8 years old. She wasn't deaf mute, but somehow she couldn't articulate her words. She had no signs of being taken care of --talk about being unkempt in a major way. But throughout the whole event, she lingered, and danced with us. I could say she even worshipped with us without her recognizing it. She literally handed me the coins in her pocket because she wanted to dance. She was randomly hugging people. She looked at people as if she was actually seeing through them. She had this sense of knowing what was going on, and yet at the same time I felt that this little one had been through a lot; a whole lot of pain and brokenness. It was an impression that bubbled up inside so strongly.

But there she was, present. She was being herself. She was golden. I felt such an intense prodding inside of me to look at her in a different lens. I then heard this firm but gentle whisper: "The way you treat this little girl today will matter more than this whole event." There the shift inside of me intensified.

The shifting continues. The sifting continues. Seeds have been planted, and a birthing has been granted. December has arrived. Let earth receive her King.

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” | Matthew‬ ‭25:37-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬

‭‭“Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” | Romans‬ ‭13:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

12-HOUR BURN | Dec 5-6 | VigHOP

‭‭Last Dec 5, from 6 PM to 6 AM of Dec 6th, we did an overnight burn for the first time! It was an amazing time with the community, burning incense and fragrance to the One who is worth it all. Loved how everyone got engaged in His presence. Truly, when we come togther and be intentional in seeking Him, He will meet our longings and stir up a deeper hunger for more of who He is! O, Jesus! How we love your name!

“My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.” | Malachi‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Of course, sharing with you some snapshots of my favorite people here in Vigan City. They have continually blessed my heart so much and the strength they provide as a family has marked me significantly.

This coming January 15-21, 2017, Ignite Internship is happening again! This is going to be one full week of intentional, wholehearted pursuit of the One Thing that holds us all together. We're stoked to once again facilitate this internship, build connections, strengthen foundations and be united in having one vision to build Him a dwelling place for this nation.

To partner with us in this, our friends, Stephanie James, Yong Xing Tan (Penang House of Prayer) and Ephraim Thong (Burning Hearts SG) are coming in and share their journeys with us; each of them carrying a message that will surely ignite hearts.

Should you wish to register, here's the link for the online form:

In all honesty, I am completely stoked about this! Burn Internship 2017 will run from March 5th to April 1st. Early this year, I had the most awesome privilege to be an intern here and it was quite a pivotal time for me. The Lord shifted things inside my heart and caused me to hunger for more of Him, making a resolve in my heart to be in pursuit of the One Thing that will matter for all eternity. This time around, I will not be coming in as an intern but as a volunteer staff. I believe that through this I am giving back to the house that has been instrumental in the move of God over my life. Apart from that, this is another opportunity to partner with Jesus in what He is doing across Southeast Asia, especially in the pursuit of building Him dwelling places all across the region.

With my fellow Interns during Burn Internship 2016

I have written about the many things-- revelations and musings altogether, that had been cultivated in me during this Internship and if you want to check it out, you can visit my blog: tileveryislandsings.wordpress.com

For further details, you can visit this link:www.penhop.org/events/burn-internship-2017. Application is ongoing!

CONVERGE is a regional prayer leaders gathering within Southeast Asia which happens annually. Not only is it a time of convening for one vision and pursuit, but it is also a time of strengthening friendships and connections within the family of affections. For 2017, Converge is happening on April 27-29 in Penang, Malaysia.

We know we cannot plant seeds with closed fists. To sow, we must open our hands. - Adolfo Perez Esquivel

Beloved, your support and encouragement has humbled me and made me fall in love with Jesus more. It is undeniable to note that through the seeds you have been sowing, I am able to do what I am doing. I honor you for your obedience to the Holy Spirit, and be affirmed that every seed you have sown in love will never be wasted.

Since I will go and help out in the upcoming Burn Internship and to attend Converge as well, I will be raising support for both. You can check this letter out. For your perusal: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cnz81v9d5mxugoo/BurnInternship2017.docx?dl=0

Account details will be provided upon request.

But beyond anything else, your prayers bear so much weight and eternal significance as well as the words you speak over my life. I will always be grateful for your partnership and the seeds you have sown in love.

As 2016 comes to a close, here are some things I am currently processing with the Lord and believing Him for in the next season to come.

I invite you to partner and agree with me in prayer, even as I see Him fulfill His purposes before my very eyes:

  • That hunger be continually stirred in me to dig deep of His Word.
  • Strength in my inner man and joy in serving.
  • My family in Iloilo, that the Lord would continue to encounter them in personal and significant ways that would mark them for eternity.
  • That provision and restoration be released over my family.
  • Direction and clarity for the next season of this journey (I'm targeting to go home for a vacation by May).
  • Staff and interns of Ignite Internship 2017
  • Burn Internship and Converge 2017
  • Wisdom and strength for the youth leaders in church as they lead our Campus Ministry (Chi Alpha) and Tuesday Youth Nights. There has been a few transitions in the youth ministry and we are excited for the things that will take place next semester.
  • That we in ViganHOP would always be united together in love, encouraging one another and staying faithful in walking out our respective assignments, having one pursuit and vision in mind.
  • That the Lord would continue to bless the works of my hands through the creative platform He has blessed me with:manosphilippines.flavors.me
  • That I may continue to learn how to love well like Jesus.

It would be a joy and pleasure to connect with you and partner with you in prayer.

““In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” | Daniel‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This is my why. He is the reason why I do what I do and who I am today is because of His love that has been so completely unrelenting. He is most worthy.

Joyeux Noel to all of you. It has been a beautiful 2016, fam. And now my heart is expectant as to what the new year holds.

Believing that 2017 will be a year of fulfillment of the things we have all been waiting for.

Til' every island loves,
