I m m a n u e l For a child has been born—for us! the gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He’ll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom. He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going With fair dealing and right living, beginning now and lasting always. The zeal of GOD -of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this.” Isaiah 9:6-7 MSG
Last November 1, we had the privilege of leading the Bride of Christ in Ilocos Sur in worship during the Ilocos Sur Grand Prayer Rally. Pastors, leaders, ministers and members alike gathered to unite in prayer for the nation and for the Bride of Christ. Indeed fire and fragrance was lifted up to the Son of Man.
This rang true during the whole gathering: “How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! It’s like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that’s where GOD commands the blessing, ordains eternal life.” | Psalm 133:1-3 MSG |
On November 17th, The Word Riders PH (https://www.facebook.com/WordRiders/) in partnership with The Philippine Bible Society pushed through with their Great Northern Ride and distributed Bibles to Grade 8 students all across the Northern part of Luzon, specifically in the Ilocos area. So when they reached Vigan City, we had the open door to volunteer and reach out to these students. Apart from the distribution of the Bibles and the gift giving, it was all about releasing love to these young ones. It was an amazing time of community and togetherness. I also made new friends, mostly 12, 13 and 14-year olds. 😊
I love that I got to be a part of this beautiful mission, which was intentionally brought to completion because of people having a solid vision for His Word to be made known all across this nation.
Jesus Reigns happened last November 30. All across the nation, 82 cities, including Vigan City, simultaneously celebrated the name of Jesus. It was an honor to be a part of this united gathering, in partnership with other local churches only for one glorious cause.
On this day, the shift He has been brewing inside me was once more stirred and intensified. I was encountered by His love and heart for His very own. It was confrontational, but tender. Indeed, His presence brings about a revelatory experience that you simply can't shake off. It hits to the core and it leaves you undone. During the event, a little girl stole my heart. My guess, she was probably around 7 or 8 years old. She wasn't deaf mute, but somehow she couldn't articulate her words. She had no signs of being taken care of --talk about being unkempt in a major way. But throughout the whole event, she lingered, and danced with us. I could say she even worshipped with us without her recognizing it. She literally handed me the coins in her pocket because she wanted to dance. She was randomly hugging people. She looked at people as if she was actually seeing through them. She had this sense of knowing what was going on, and yet at the same time I felt that this little one had been through a lot; a whole lot of pain and brokenness. It was an impression that bubbled up inside so strongly.
But there she was, present. She was being herself. She was golden. I felt such an intense prodding inside of me to look at her in a different lens. I then heard this firm but gentle whisper: "The way you treat this little girl today will matter more than this whole event." There the shift inside of me intensified.
The shifting continues. The sifting continues. Seeds have been planted, and a birthing has been granted. December has arrived. Let earth receive her King.
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” | Matthew 25:37-40 NIV
“Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” | Romans 13:10 NIV
Last Dec 5, from 6 PM to 6 AM of Dec 6th, we did an overnight burn for the first time! It was an amazing time with the community, burning incense and fragrance to the One who is worth it all. Loved how everyone got engaged in His presence. Truly, when we come togther and be intentional in seeking Him, He will meet our longings and stir up a deeper hunger for more of who He is! O, Jesus! How we love your name!
“My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.” | Malachi 1:11 NIV
COMMUNITY WINS. LOVE WINS.
Of course, sharing with you some snapshots of my favorite people here in Vigan City. They have continually blessed my heart so much and the strength they provide as a family has marked me significantly.
