JUDAISM

Judaism is the oldest surviving monotheistic religion, arising in the eastern Mediterranean in the second millennium B.C.E.Judaisms main prophet is Moses, he is the one main belief in the religion. Judaism and Christianity have many of the same characteristics, like fasting, having a holy day each week, and also some of the stories in their religious books are the same. The holy book for the people who follow Judaism (Jews) book is the Torah. The place of worship for Judaism is called a Synagogue. The religious leader is called a Rabbi. There are many different types of versions of the religion for example, Reform Conservative, and Orthodox Judaism. The most important Holiday for the followers are The Sabbath, Jewish New Year, Hanukkah, and Sukkot.

CHRISTIANITY

Christianity is the second oldest thriving monotheistic religion. Christianity was first started in 7 B.C. The main prophet for Christianity is Jesus. Christianity was founded in Jerusalem. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, are all connected in some ways, like the area where they were founded are all the same ( Jerusalem ). The holy book of Christianity is the Bible. Place of Worship for the followers of the religion is a Church. The Leader of the Religion is a Pope. There are many various versions of the religion, such as, Roman Catholic, Protestantism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Oriental Orthodoxy. The main Holidays of the Church are Easter, Christmas, Pentecost.

ISLAM

Islam was founded in the seventh century, in Jerusalem. The main prophet for the followers, is Muhammad. The connection of Judaism, and Christianity, and Islam, is that they all look at Abraham as a Prophet and that is why they are called Abrahamic Religions. The Holy book is the Qur'an. The main place of worship for the Muslims is called a Mosque. The religious leader for Islam is called an Imam. There are many different types of Islam such as, Sunni and the Shi'ite. The main important Holiday for the followers is Ramadan, and Eid Al-Fitr.
