Little Budgie's Done A Fudgie was written by Essex Dad Simon Harris after his three-year-old son Luke was a little bit slow moving from nappies to the potty.
Author Simon Harris and his three-year-old son Luke, who he wrote the original poem for to try and encourage him to use the potty more.
It started out as a silly, jokey poem about a cheeky little bird who tries very hard to make it to the potty in time, and when it started to work Simon decided to make it into a proper storybook with eye-catching illustrations by Sethmyr Eslit.
It's all about trying again and again until the magical moment finally arrives, and taking inspiration from all those times along the way when things don't quite go to plan.
