Water Soluble Vitamins

It is dissolved by water. It includes vitamins C and B.

Vitamin B

Vitamin B helps the body make new cells. The you can get it by eating dark green leafy vegetables. If you don't get enough of Vitamin B when you are pregnant then your baby could get spina bifida.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps protect you from infection. the food source is Citrus fruits, strawberry, broccoli, and tomatoes. If you don't get enough Vitamin C then you could get scurvy which is the breakdown of collagen, bleeding gums and skin homogenizes.

Fat Soluble Vitamins

Vitamin K

The function of Vitamin K is it helps your blood clot normally. You can get if from dark green leafy vegetables. If you don't have enough Vitamin K then you will bleed more when you have a cut and you will bruise more easily.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A promotes good vision and helps hair and skin. You can get Vitamin A from red, orange and dark green vegetables. If you don't get enough of it then you can have right blindness.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D builds and maintains bones and teeth. You can get it from dairy products and sunlight. If you don't get enough of Vitamin D then you can have rickets which is bowed legs.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E protects the membranes of white and red blood cells. You can get it from vegetable oils, fruits, and vegetables. If you don't get enough of it then you can have poor nerve connections and neurological problems.

Minirals

Calcium

Calcium strengthens your bones and teeth. You can get it from milk, dairy products, and whole grains. If you don't get enough Calcium then you could have osteoporosis.

Iron

Iron helps make red blood cells and helps our muscles store and use oxygen. You can get it from animal products and dark leafy green vegetables. If you don't have enough Iron then you could get anemia.

Sodium and Potassium

Sodium and Potassium helps maintain fluid balance in your body. You can get it from salt, fruits, and vegetables, but especially from Bananas. If you don't get enough of these then you could have muscle cramps, irregular heart beats, and even seizures.
