Before attending college in Canada, my artistic skills were limited to mainly hand drawn designs using pen and ink, water coloured paints, pencil crayons and pencils.
One of the assignments that I enjoyed doing at George Brown was an onsite drawing of Union Station using pencil crayon on Canson paper.
The first step was to create two small versions of a section anywhere in the station that I wanted to draw
I liked the results on the mid tone grey canson paper better, so I decided to do the final version on a bigger canson paper of the same colour.
I used pencil crayon to get the shading just how I like it.
The final results.
As well as doing drawings and digital works I also dabbled in photography.
For this assignment I walked through Downtown, Toronto and took pictures of the city.
From all the picture I took, I chose my best five (5) and created a series on the theme of "Art in the city".
For the series I did different forms of art from architectural buildings, to paintings. to graffiti, to statues.
I edited the images to make sure the Art forms stand out.
I also arranged the images in the series, in a way that would give you a feeling, as if you were traveling through the city.
Closing the series with the elephants walking away.
