On Friday, Oct. 12, the Wrecker's varsity field hockey team, ranked first in the state, played Wilton, who is ranked right below them in second place.
The girls huttle in a pre-game discussion, preparing for the highly anticipated game with their rivals.

Wilton and Staples go head to head as the Wrecker's attempt to score a goal in the first quarter.

The team runs toward the home side as the third goal of the game is scored, putting the Wreckers ahead.
By the end of the game, Staples defeated Wilton with a final score of 4-1.

The team's next game is at home, at 4:00pm on Wednesday, Oct 17, against Norwalk.
