William Shakespeare Brooklyn Oden

William was born April 1564, and died April, 1616, on his birthday.
He was baptized on April 26, 1564.
William Shakespeare was an English poet, and playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist.
He was married to Anne Hathaway (26) when he was 18 in 1582. He had children, Susannah (born in 1583) and Hamnet & Judith (twins) born in 1585.
His birthplace was in Stratford-upon-Avon.
His first published play was Henry VI, Part Two, (1594)
His total number of plays was 37.
Shakespeare wrote 154 sonnets - almost all of them were poems.
He invented the word assassination.
Shakespeare performed some of his plays in front of Queen Elizabeth I.
William is the second most quoted writer in the English language - after the various writers of the Bible.
The Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare’s shortest play at just 1,770 lines long.

He never seemed to spell his name properly. He spelled it Willm Shakp.

His greatest plays include Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet.
