Meet Megan, our Interim President & CEO!

As you may know, Mindy Watrous, SOCO's President & CEO has moved to Florida after 13 great years serving as our leader. We wanted you to meet Megan Toohey who is currently serving as Interim President & CEO to help ensure that programming continues as usual for our athletes, volunteers and family members.

Megan has been with SOCO for seven years, serving as the Director of Events and Corporate Partnerships and most recently as Vice President of Development. We asked her to answer a few questions so you can get to know her a little better!

Favorite Sport: Tennis and golf (9 holes is perfect for me) to play and flag football to watch.

Hometown: Saratoga Springs, NY

Hobbies: Spending time with my husband and two kids, Grayson (age 3) and Maddie (age 1), checking out new restaurants and traveling.

What do you love about SOCO? Of course, getting to know our athletes - they have so much to teach us all about joy, compassion, sportsmanship, inclusion, and how to truly love life. And also having the chance to be on the same team as my fellow co-workers who are all incredibly smart and dedicated, and work so hard year-round to make sure our athletes have the best experiences possible.

Feel free to reach out to Megan at mtoohey@SpecialOlympicsco.org with any questions, comments, or concerns at any time. And stay tuned for next month's newsletter where you can meet more of SOCO's staff!
