Did you know that wolves can weigh over 100 pounds? It is like a lion. Wolves are slower than a car. Wolves can run 38 miles per hour. Wolves can be gray, black, or silver. Wolves are closely related to Shiba Inu, Chows Akitas and Alaskan Malamutes. Wolves have warm fur because they live in cold weather.

Habitat

Wolves live in cold weather. They live in Arctic grasslands. They are pups when they are babies. They live in North America, Alaska, Canada and Asia. Wolves live in group called packs. Communication is very important to the packs' survival.

Diet

Their diet is small prey. Wolves are carnivores They eat mice, rabbits, squirrels, ducks, geese and fish. Wild wolves also eat elk or deer.

Interesting facts

Some wolves are snow wolves. Baby wolves are called pups. Wolves are found all over the world. Wolves are very similar to dogs. Wolves can travel far with out getting tired.
