Poverty, Help, Community, People-- What word comes to mind when you think of Community Action? We posted this to our Facebook Page.
Bluegrass Ultra-Transit Service (BUS) participated in the Frankfort Christmas Parade on December 7, 2018. We did not place but we had a BLAST decorating and getting the word out about our Transportation Service to the Community!
The 7th grade students at Paris Middle School visited the Bourbon County Senior Center. Ornament crafts and conversation were enjoyed by both groups. This will become a monthly partnership with both groups with different activities provided each month.
Scott County Senior Center was able to go out and carol for our homebound seniors and deliver Angel Tree gifts through our partnership with Spindletop! This is always an exciting experience and for our seniors to have the opportunity to give and receive.

Active Day Choir did a Christmas Performance at the Scott County Senior Center!
The Optimist Club brought Santa to visit the kids at Franklin County Head Start! Look at those smiles!
The Cow from Chick-Fil-A came to Franklin County Head Start to remind the kids to "EAT MOR CHIKIN!"

Mercer/Boyle County Head Start displayed Snowmen crafts that the kids did with their parents. These are the cutest!
Ms. Bobbi from the Mercer County Extension Office came to Mercer/Boyle County Head Start to teach the kids about nutrition. They made their own yogurt shakes in ziplock bags! yummy!
Santa came to visit the kids at Jessamine County Head Start!
Woodford County Adult Day enjoyed visiting with Santa and opening gifts!

Anderson County Head Start decorated their doors for a contest. They posted the pictures to their Facebook page and the picture with the most "likes" won!
Xerox worked on a Community Project and put up a flag pole at Bourbon County Senior Center!

With even more extreme temperatures coming in tomorrow and wind chills well below zero, BGCAP Has resources to help! Services offered January 30th: Our Bus Program will transport ANYONE needing to get to a warming shelter in the county they reside in. (FREE OF CHARGE!) The following Senior Centers will be open from 8AM to 6PM tomorrow as warming shelters for people of ANY age: Anderson, Garrard, Jessamine, Mercer, Scott and Woodford. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact us! PLEASE SHARE, BE SAFE, AND STAY WARM.
