The Australopithecus lived about 4 million years ago.

The Australopithecus lived in Eastern Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania)

It was similar to chimpanzees.

It walked upright on two legs.

It had curved fingers adapted for climbing trees.

It held sticks and stones to kill small animals and to protect itself.

It ate roots, barries, fruit or the rests of other animals prey.

It lived both in the trees and on the ground.
