Day 1: On arrival in Lima, you will be warmly greeted by one of our representatives and walked across to your hotel, the Costa del Sol Wyndham Lima Airport. Either head into the city to find yourself dinner and spend the evening around the bar or in The Paprika restaurant discussing what adventures lie a head.

Day2: After a quick breakfast at the hotel, you'll walk back to the airport and fly to Cusco, on arrival your guide will be waiting for you to transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, enjoy a 1.30hours scenic drive. This will be your first opportunity to see ruins and how the Incas lived, with opportunities to visit Awanakancha and Pisac, which will give you opportunities to shop at local markets and immerse yourself in the Peruvian culture. Once you check into the Sol y Luna, you'll have the rest of the day at your leisure to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. Remember Cusco is over 11,000 feet above sea level. The Sol y Luna is a Relais & Chateaux property, so you can expect the same type of service, you will stay here for 2 nights.

Day 3: Your full day tour today will start with a visit to Moray. The main feature that impresses is its system of circular agricultural terraces, which are up to 330 feet deep We will continue on to Maras, the salt mines, or the famous "salt pools" The salt mines of Maras are still in use today. These days there are thousands of pools, or pocitos, with each pocito yielding around 150 kilograms of salt per month. You can visit the salt mines and explore them along narrow paths. It’s fascinating to watch locals harvest the salt, a process that hasn’t changed in thousands of years. Lunch will be on a private estate called, Hacienda Huayoccari. After lunch, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, a lovely village that preserves the designs of Inca buildings. Among this place's most impressive attractions are the ceremonial temple in worship of water and a fortress that guarded the entrance to the valley to repel any invasions. The fortress is a stone colossus that was built between two mountains to protect the valley

Day 4: After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you will be accompanied by your guide to Ollantaytambo Train Station, you'll board the Visadome train to Machu Picchu.

Once you arrive at the train station, your luggage will be taken care of by the hotel. With your guide, board a bus that will take you up to the Machu Picchu Citadel. Explore the citadel of Machu Picchu accompanied with your guide for three hours. Your expert guide will lead you through the site, providing archaeological and historical information on key areas of interest, including Intihuatana (the Sun Dial), the Sacred Plaza and the Temple of the Sun. This is an opportunity to explore one of the most significant and spectacular archaeological sites on the planet, surrounded by the cloud forest, Wayna Picchu and Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), the entrance to the Machu Picchu Inca trail. Afterwards, head down to Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel

Day 5: With an early start, you'll take the bus and enjoy the prospects of a walk through Machu Picchu at sunrise, something which people of strong spirituality believe to be the highlight of a visit to Machu Picchu. From there, you will have the options to do a number of hikes and spend the rest of the day touring Machu Picchu with your guide. After your full day on Machu Picchu head back down to Aguas Calientes train station to board the deluxe Hiram Bingham train to Cusco, there will be dinner and entertainment on board. Once you've arrive in Cusco, you'll be transferred to Belmond Monasterio Hotel.

Day 6: After a relaxing breakfast, you will embark on a guided city tour of Cusco. Visiting the most important places of the Archaeological Capital of America which was the capital of the Inca's Empire. Observe the mixture of the 3 cultures: the native quechuas Indians, the Spanish conquerors and the actual people. Your tour will end with a visit to the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman. The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure, to wonder the city of Cusco.

Day 7 - Day 10: Hop onto an early morning transfer as your trip deep into the amazon jungle is about to begin. From the Cusco Airport you will fly via Lima to Iquitos. You will be met at International Airport then and journey through the countryside and board the Aria Amazon on a 4 night cruise, you will meet your guide on board and from there begin to plan your adventures into the rainforest.
