Mrs. Ashley Coffman

Mrs. Coffman teaches fifth grade math at Mt. Vernon Middle School

She is married and has four children. Caydon is a freshman in high school and plays football. Lyric is in 7th and plays volleyball and is a cheerleader. Kamden is in 2nd grade and loves football and can tell you anything about any player in the NFL. Madilyn is in 1st grade and participates in dance here in MV.

In her spare time she loves reading, attending sports events, going shopping, and spending time with her family.
"I'm always trying to find the silver lining and make others laugh. Life is too short to be dull."

She loves teaching and knew since she was a young girl that teaching is what she wanted to do.

In her response to why she chose to be a teacher she said "The students inspire me every day to be a better person. I always learn more from them then they could ever learn from me."

Mrs. Coffman's favorite books to read are by Karen Kingbury because she is a Christian author and "does a phenomenal job at writing."

Her favorite part of school is meeting all her new students on the first day! She also enjoys all the fun dress up days. She says "it allows the students to see me in a silly way instead of the Math teacher that they see the rest of the year."

The number one lesson she wants her students to have learned when they leave her class is that "they can do anything in life as long as they try." She also wants the students to know that she will always be one of their biggest fans.
