there is no 2nd chance for a first impression
When you are ready to UPGRADE your Image and make an AMAZING Impression on Potential Clients, you have come to the right place!
Ladies, put your best face forward
We want you to have the best headshot possible, so here are a few steps to ensure that happens:
- Whether you wear a little or a lot of makeup, having a professional makeup artist prepare you for your portraits is a wonderful idea. It will make your preparation stress free and a professional can really help to even out skin tones and enhance your best features. Call the studio if you want to book one. 210-497-3809
- Keep your clothing simple and timeless. Whether you are a Yoga teacher or Defense Attorney, your clothing matters. Solid colors are always a great choice and bring the focus to your face, which is exactly what you need.
- Dress Head to Toe, because you never know.
- Get a good nights sleep. Sometimes impossible, but try your best.
- Begin with the END in mind. If you are a writer of children's books, your headshot might look a little different than a Neurosurgeon's would. Keep in mind what the image is being used for and that your photo is a great fit for that use. Sometimes, that means several different looks might be needed.
- You are always welcome to come in for a design consultation, but usually a good chat over the phone will be all that is needed for you to prepare for your session. If you are doing a branding session, I would prefer to meet up in person, if possible, prior to your session.
- But Most Important...RELAX. We've Got This.

image is everything
We know it's not your favorite thing to do, but having a current headshot is key to instilling confidence for potential clients. Here's how:
- Be Well-Rested. I know it can be difficult, but a tired person never looks their best.
- Be freshly shaven
- Have a haircut at least a week in advance, so it has some time to be just how you like it.
- Wear simple, timeless and solid clothing. While your clothing may depend on what your style is and what do for a living, you still want your face to be the center of attention.
- Dress Head to Toe, because you never know.
- Begin with the END in mind. A Mystery Novel writer's headshot will look different than a CEO's headshot. Let's discuss what the image will be used for and decide the best look for that use.
- Most Important...RELAX. We've Got This.
