Zeus was a sky and weather god. Zeus was the son of Cronus and Rhea, members of an earlier race called the titans. Zeus and the other children took over and defeated the titans. Zeus then took over and ruled from his home mount Olympus. The eagle and the oak tree were symbols associated with Zeus.
