I am the secretary of the EVHS chapter of National Honor Society. National Honor Society is for students dedicated to leadership, service, academics, and community. Our club at EVHS is working on creating a workshop that bridges the gap between freshmen and seniors in our school. We are creating a community of friendship and self advocacy, and I could not be more proud of what we are creating!
I am also a member of the Eagle Valley Devils Against Destructive Decisions Club (DADD). DADD strives to raise awareness for the poor decisions that teenagers can make, and encourages informed and safe decision making. I play a huge part in the annual Seatbelt Campaign, which uses education to encourage teens to wear their seatbelts whenever they are in a car, and drive like their lives depend on it- because they do. It is a week of fun for all, and it saves lives!
Outside of school, I ride horses. This is my horse Uno, he really has quite the personality. Riding allows me to escape the stresses of school and relax a bit. It is the coolest feeling when horse and rider communicate and work together to accomplish a common goal. I believe that riding has given me the best of both worlds in that it is an individual sport, but you must work as a team. I truly love it.
