Eating healthy is very important for your health and physical appearance. A way to make sure you eat healthy is to follow the food guide. There are 4 food groups in the food guide are milk and alternative, grain, meat and alternative, and fruits and vegetables. As a kid 13 and under we should have 6 servings of fruits and vegetables, 6 of grain products, 3-4 servings of milk and alternatives, and 1-2 of milk and alternatives. Another key substances to staying healthy is to drink water.
You should also look at the nutrition label. Protein, carbohydrates, sodium, sugar, and fat are really important to look out for.
Fruits and Vegetables - apple, carrot, grapes
Grain- spaghetti, bread, rice
Milk and alternatives- milk, yogurt, cheese
Meat and alternatives- pork, eggs, salmon
