FUTURE LIGHTING SUMMER 2017 NEWSLETTER

Welcome to the summer edition of Future News.

We’ve been loving the glorious sunny weather and it’s such a shame that recent tragic events have put a damper on our moods. The property management sector is more-than-ever firmly focused on the safety of their residents and the blocks they live in. We have been taking huge numbers of calls from clients wanting to ensure that their blocks’ emergency lighting is fully compliant. In response to these concerns, we are offering a free on-site service where required. We will be happy to visit your offices, or one of your blocks, to speak to your staff face-to-face and answer any questions they may have. Just give us a call to set up your free Q&A session.

Wishing you a fabulous, safe summer and happy holidays.

ARMA Awards - we aced it!!

Our whole team is thrilled that Future Lighting has been named Industry Supplier of the Year, winning our category at the first ARMA ACE Awards, held on 7 July. We had a great evening at Tobacco Dock, meeting old friends and industry peers, which was topped off by the awards ceremony – and the excitement of being announced winners. We felt as if we were at the Oscars!

A big thank you to everyone at Future Lighting who has worked so hard to help us win this award and to our fantastic clients who provided us with the testimonials that helped convince the judging panel that we deserved the top spot. A great night was had by all. See you next year!

Our ever growing family

We are delighted to welcome Jason Begley to our team and we are proud that we have managed to prize Jason away from his former long serving position.

Jason has been in the electrical industry for over 15 years and there’s not an electrical qualification that Jason hasn’t passed with distinction. He is a superhero in our sector!

Jason has joined us as a senior engineer to project manage our major works division.

He is looking forward to meeting you all.

What have we been up to?

Newsom Place, St Albans – car park A

Newsom Place is a sought-after residential scheme on the redeveloped Oaklands College site in a prime position in St Albans, located just a few minutes’ walk to the city centre. Despite the high standard of the development, the car park lighting had become outdated and now posed a potential risk to health and safety; maintenance costs were exorbitant and the failing system was no longer fit for purpose. Property managers Remus Property contacted Future Lighting for help and we promptly arranged a survey and supplied an analysis of the existing lighting systems.

We built a custom-made system and residents were given the opportunity to look at the proposed installation and choose a preferred colour. Lighting for the 100+ space car park was completed in less than two days without disruption to the building or to residents.

The lighting upgrade totalled £6,530 and will reduce energy costs from £6000.00 to £180.00 per annum. Both Remus Property Management and the Newsom Place residents were delighted to discover that their return on investment (ROI) will only be 13 months. In addition Future Lighting has given a five-year guarantee on the refurbishment and FREE on-going maintenance.

Cadogan Gardens refurbishment

Number 65 Cadogan Gardens is a beautiful mid-terrace Victorian property located in upmarket Chelsea. The property is divided into 10 self-contained leasehold flats, sited just a two minute walk from the famous and fashionable Kings Road.

As part of a full refurbishment of the common areas over four floors, Future Lighting recently installed a new decorative LED lighting system, emergency lighting and occupancy detection system, as part of a planned redecoration scheme, not only improving the aesthetics but also saving the freeholder money on wasted energy. The new lighting installation is also covered by our full 5-year warranty for total peace of mind.

And finally….

We’re really pleased to be joining building surveyors Earl Kendrick later this year to co-present two maintenance Bootcamps in association with NOTB. We will be looking at a wide range of topics and hope that you will be able to join us for what will be two fun and informative sessions. Details to be announced soon.
