Fall is Coming My Week in Sports - Week of August 28, 2017

If you were one of the 12.1 million people that watched Game of Thrones' season finale, you know "Winter is Here." Luckily, here in the state of Georgia, we still have days that are at least 80 degrees but you can tell the fall temperatures are coming.

As a photographer, that makes me happy since I know the days of dripping in sweat are coming to an end.

For the week of August 28th, I captured JV Volleyball, Varsity Volleyball twice, Freshman Football and wrapped the week up under the lights with Varsity Football.

Juniors Brianna Stopher (1) and Emma Ahrens (8) in their pre-game ritual.

Varsity and JV Volleyball defeated both Creekview and Dalton 2-0 on August 29th and Varsity capped off the week by defeating both Marietta and North Cobb 2-0 on August 31st.

Freshman Football had their first home game of the season against a tough opponent Kell.

Final Score:

Kell 34

Allatoona 19

Next up, I kicked off the Labor Day weekend with Friday Night Lights

Allatoona traveled 50 miles south for a non-conference game against Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, GA.

Final score:

Sandy Creek 23

Allatoona 17

Allatoona Football has a bye this week and will next play South Cobb on September 15th which is the last Friday of summer.

Fall is Coming!

Until then...

Every game is everything.
