Art Shay is a freelance photographer and journalist who has been documenting his life through photography for over 70 years, and is currently 94 years old. When he went to World War II he shot pictures of the action, and documented countless presidents, athletes, crime bosses, and social justice. He was inspired by everyday life and would go to the city to capture images of his exploration of the cities, and the hustle and bustle exemplified there. He also photographed pictures that would be put in books, for example his book "My Florence" that he wrote for his late wife. He was also inspired by his wife and he took pictures of her to reveal her liveliness and happiness, he documented their lives together and he put them in his book "My Florence" once she died. He has gained a wide variety of popularity through his black and white images.
