The South Okanagan Similkameen Division of Family Practice has partnered with the Ministry of Health and the Interior Health Authority to create a PCN to address the health care needs in the community of Oliver.
The goals of this PCN include the:
- Implementation of processes to ensure all people in the community have access to quality primary care;
- Provision of extended hours of care, including early mornings, evenings and weekends;
- Provision of same-day access for urgently needed care;
- Provision of comprehensive primary-care services through the networking of primary-care providers and teams.
Oliver
Surrounded by picturesque orchards and vineyards framed by forested mountains is Oliver, a town located near the south end of the Okanagan Valley and known as the “Wine Capital of Canada.” Oliver’s abundance of agriculture makes it easy to enjoy fresh local produce from fruit and vegetables stands.
