Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another. – G.K. Chesterton

Utilize Student Notebooks

Utilize student notebooks!

Please ensure that students are writing down their required homework and good grades of the week in the appropriate column within the student notebook. Also, it is important that volunteers initial and rate each student's behavioral assessment at the end of the day.

don't forget about the bicycle contest!

Don't forget that bicycles will be given away to the two students who have demonstrated the biggest improvement on the math assessments throughout the course of the entire school year. We will wait until the final math assessment is completed at the end of April before making this determination.

In the meantime, make sure to assist your students who need help in math improvement. Use the bicycle give-away as incentive!

WOW; Demonstrate

MEANING: Show something by giving examples of it

Can be used instead of: show, exhibit, prove, evidence

Study Skill:

Proofread your writing aloud

How to incorporate the study skill:

Proofread your writing aloud by reading to the wall and making corrections with a colored pen. It can help you catch things you have written that don't sound good aloud. You can check spelling in the dictionary. You should also have a buddy or person who is older than you are check your writing for errors.

Virtue: Responsibility

WE LOVE YOU, VOLUNTEERS!

You make our day... WONDER-FULL!
