The official name of the UK is the United kingdom. The united kingdom has a population of around 60 million.

The UK comprises of four countries. England, northern Ireland, Scotland and wales. England is the most populated country in the UK.

parliamentary democracy: The United Kingdom is a parliamentary democracy – this means the government is elected by the people. There is a general election once every five years. The Prime Minister leads the government with the support of the cabinet and ministers.

The UK have the fifth largest military in the world. For centuries, the British military has existed to defend the kingdom from threats. The uk spends over 54 billion pounds a year on their military
