In what was a rather tight contest for most of the day Norwood’s Josh Glenn, Anthony Wilson and Brady Dawe booted consecutive majors entering time-on of the premiership stanza to help hand the Redlegs their sixth win in as many matches.
Matthew Panos our big bodied midfielder led the charge for the Redlegs booting the first of the contest from 25 metres out. Panos finished with 33 disposals while Lewis Johnston continued his great season form with 30 touches.
Despite the conditions both sides weren’t able to build any scoreboard pressure with the wind playing a major factor when kicking for goal. Glenelg however found a goal midway through the term as Terry Milera converted a classy set shot from 45-metres out. The Redlegs however, responded as ever reliable ruckman Sam Baulderstone kicked truly from 50 metres to hand Norwood a 15 point lead heading into the main break.
After the break Ed Smart gave the Redlegs the perfect start, after successfully converting a 25-metre penalty from directly in front. Although the Bays were able to reply instantly, Norwood piled on three majors to claim a little bit of breathing space heading into the final quarter.
The Redlegs now have a week off and will reset as they head to Alberton Oval in Round 12 to face the Port Adelaide Magpies.

Norwood Reserves Match Report
Norwood’s Reserves have returned to winning ways after a come from behind six-point win against Glenelg on Saturday afternoon.
In wet conditions Norwood trailed by 7-points midway through the last term before Premiership Players Callum Bartlett and Simon Phillips kicked back to back goals to hand the Redlegs their sixth win of the year. In what was an encouraging performance by Gavin Hughes’s men, Norwood now move up to third on the Reserves ladder just one game of off top spot.
Ball magnet Darcy Pisani had a day out on Saturday collecting 32 disposals including a game high 13-tackles and a goal, while Chris Olsson gathered 25 touches and a game high 11-marks.
Former Dog Caleb Edmead, Harry Viney and Callum Bartlett all kicked two goals apiece, while there were four individual goalkickers for Norwood. Defender Brodie Carroll also had a busy day collecting 23 disposals and four marks which included a game high five inside 50’s. One stat which was really noticeable for Norwood was their tackle pressure. The Redlegs Reserves finished plus 42 in tackles (89-47) and plus 11 in inside 50’s (46-35).
The Reserves now have a week off before travelling to Alberton in Round 12 to face the Port Adelaide Magpies.
