GIT450/550: Digital Workflow in Graphic Industries A Course Introducing Project and Time Management Concepts

Course Overview - (GIT450)

  • There are some prerequisites for this course: GIT215; GIT303 OR BAS (Internet and Web Development major)
  • Credit is only allowed for either GIT450 OR GIT550 (Digital Workflow in Graphic Industries)
  • Students should be comfortable working with Microsoft Word or Google Docs for this course, we well as Adobe Spark video (although a brief tutorial is included in course materials)
  • Students should be comfortable with performing basic research and clear and detailed writing
  • Students will learn about goal setting/SMART goals, project management methodologies, and project management technologies
  • Students are asked to use this knowledge to make recommendations to given personas as well as to reflect on possible improvements to past project processes

Assignments

The course includes four activities (worth 25 points each) and four assignments (worth 100 points each as well as a course introduction quiz and required use of the course Slack workspace.
