UX Design for Educators - Adobe Education Exchange

Workshop 2 - Creating a Wireframe (5 Hours) - In this workshop, I learned SO MUCH about creating an application. I had never made something with multiple art boards. I really enjoyed laying out all of my different pages and creating buttons so they all work together seamlessly. I looked up how to create a drop down menu. I wish there was an easier way to export and display. . . I was hoping to get feedback on the prototype.
Workshop 1 - Understanding Your User (5 Hours) - In this workshop I learned how to create a new document using Adobe Xd which I have never used before. I LOVE the snapping grid that assists in making consistent lines in the flow charts. After following along with the tutorial, I created a mock layout for an offering of art courses. I began with the basic courses or pre-requisites required to move over to the next category. The third category is courses geared to more specific focuses and that list could have been a mile long. I am looking forward to learning more about this adobe application and how I can use it in my classroom with my students.

Certifying Adobe Skills in the Classroom - Adobe Education Exchange

Course/ Assignment (3 Hours) - In this course I learned about the pros of offering students Adobe Certified Associate training at the Middle and High School level. I was exposed to the way the tests are administered and what the objectives and resources that are available for each one. Through the completion of this course I was given access to a practice test using GMetrixSMSe. For the assignment I was to create a resource to help teach students skills based off of the ACA objectives. I was also given access to all of the other resources teachers have created based off of these tests. I also noted that one of the main teachers of this course has expanded his program to be one of the top administrators of teaching these certifications is in Idaho. I am hoping to get in contact with him and see if I can use a professional day to observe and get valuable insight on how to best teach this content.

Workshop 5 - Photo Manipulation Ethics (5 Hours) - I chose to use a 1920's swimsuit contest and add a modern day swim suit contestant. I used most of the skills I learned while taking this course and continue to find new tricks! I think she blends well with the older photo. It was tough knowing that the 1920's models are very light skin toned and the current model is very tanned.
Workshop 4 - Photographic Special Effect (5 Hours) - I followed along with the shatter tutorial where I learned how to create a shattering or explosion effect. I struggled with finding the square brush to use but did some research and figured out how to get it added to my brush library. I had fun messing with the size of the explosion pieces and choosing a font with effects. I learned a lot during the remake of the backgrounds, I struggled a lot during the tutorial so I spent extra time rebuilding the fence, buildings and trees in my personal project.
Workshop 3 - Creating Imagery (5 Hours) - In this workshop I learned about refining masks to manipulate images. I also learned about double exposure and how to create those in photoshop. I also practiced blending and layering image masks.
Workshop 2 - Digital Cubism (5 Hours) - I learned how to create a digital cubist self portrait using multiple photo-imaging techniques (masking, cropping, clipping, erasing, etc). I also used multiple filters and adjustments to make the portraits as seamless as possible.
Workshop 1 - Creating Image Patterns (5 Hours) - I learned how to create a kaleidoscope effect using Adobe Photoshop. From there I learned how to create and save a pattern I can use in other projects.
