In SANFL Macca's Family Round, the Redlegs were keen to impress the home faithful after coming off an impressive win against the Eagles in Round 7. Former Dog Josh Glenn put on a master class performance against his former side, booting eight goals straight to stamp his authority on the match and the competition.
The result was effectively set up when Norwood established a 35-point break by quarter-time as usual suspects Mitch Grigg (26 disposals and four goals), Matt Panos (31 disposals and a goal) and Lewis Johnston (29 disposals and a goal) not only found the ball but hit the scoreboard.
The Redlegs from the onset were set up well defensively, as the back six worked in tangent with one another not allowing any Central goals come easy. After the break the Redlegs truly gained the ascendancy. It took Josh Glenn just two minutes to get the home sides first and shortly after the floodgates would open.
Forward Mitch Carter fought hard in his first League match in two years, Carter finished eight disposals and a goal while hard man Will Abbott continued to impress with 22 disposals, six tackles and a goal.
Norwood’s fast ball movement and transition out of defence was a major focus by Jarrod Cotton’s men, who continued to press all game making the Dogs work tirelessly throughout the whole of the four quarters.

Norwood Reserves Match Report
Norwood Reserves bounced back on Friday night to defeat Centrals by 22-points at the Parade.
The Redlegs trailed by as much as 7-points midway through the final term before kicking the final four goals of the match to move up to second on the ladder. Former Roo Brad McKenzie starred with 33 disposals, 11 marks and five tackles, while speedster Anthony Wilson also impressed gathering 15 touches and booting two goals. Darcy Pisani also played well gathering 27 disposals while Zac Richards continues to mount a case for selection finishing the match with 23 disposals and five tackles.
Another player who is gaining some continuity in his footy is former Dog Caleb Edmead. Edmead got through the match unscathed kicking 2.3 in his second match back from a hamstring injury. The Reserves for the majority of the match played really well without a recognised ruckman which was pleasing for Coach Gavin Hughes.
The Reserves now have a rest before facing West Adelaide in Round 10 in two weeks’ time.
