Adobe Illustrator Lauren Graydon

The program itself isn't as user-friendly as others in the Adobe Creative Cloud but I like that users can create something from nothing.

The program itself feels like Paint for grown ups; we can draw squares, circles, squares, stars and hexagons. Unlike Paint, we have libraries packed with borders, line designs, brushes, and arrows that turn ordinary lines into whatever we can imagine. We can add and change the fill and stroke colour by utilizing the extensive libraries of colour Adobe has available.

I enjoyed using Illustrator and found it easy to draw the 'S' and 'B' for the second assignment where we created a logo. I found that since I'm a perfectionist I struggled with making the curves look right. I liked that I could change and update the colours and add a print as the background.

Illustrator allowed me to change the 'stroke' of the letters to be anything I wanted, in this case it was denim stitching.

Other classmates struggled with the program since they found that it wasn't user-friendly. I didn't encounter this.
